Books About Weston, the Westhighland Terrier

BROOKHEART BOOKS AVAILABLE AT LIBRARY

Local authors, Brian Brookheart and his wife, Sherry, have each authored a recent book.  The subject of both books is their West Highland Terrier, Weston, who passed away suddenly earlier in the year.  Copies of both books are now available at Flora Public Library.

Sherry Brookheart has penned a children’s Christmas story that is beautifully illustrated by her friend, Renee Bliss, from Nashville, TN.  "How Weston Found His Bark" is the story of a little boy named Brian and his new puppy.  The story conveys a special message:  Weston 'finds his bark' by helping someone in need.  The author wrote the story six years ago and based it on adventures that she and her husband had with Weston.   “How Weston Found His Bark” is available for $15.00.

Mrs. Brookheart has a passion for writing. She is a business owner, and loves to travel. She has contributed to numerous publications, including inspirational books and articles.

Brian Brookheart, who is originally from Flora, has written an inspirational non-fiction book about his relationship with Weston.  “Weston:  Learning about Love from my West Highland Terrier” is not just a story about a dog.  The book is a heartwarming and touching story about companionship.   The author skillfully compares similarities between his relationship with Weston and our relationship with God.  Anyone who loves dogs will love the pages of photos of the rascal, Weston. The twenty-six original Westie paintings by the author will bring a smile.  Brookheart says, “You will laugh, you will cry, you will love ‘Weston’.”  Copies of “Weston” are available for $25.00.

Individually, the book prices total $40.00.  However, the special combo price of $30.00 is available for anyone purchasing a copy of each book at the same time.

Mr. Brookheart is an author, speaker, artist, businessman, philanthropist and dog lover. He has written several inspirational books and is a contributing author to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.  The Brookhearts live in Olney, Illinois with their Westies, Milo and Murphy.

The books may also be ordered from their website:  www.westiebooks.com
