FLORA PUBLIC LIBRARY
JUVENILE WORKSTATIONS
1. Patrons do not have to have a library card to use the Juvenile Workstations.
2. Anyone using any of the library’s workstations or network must sign in at the circulation desk and sign out when finished. Failure to sign out may result in loss of workstation privileges.
3. Patrons may choose from a number of games and educational programs to use on the workstations. Some programs must have a disk inserted. The library staff will insert and retrieve the program CDs.
4. Use of any workstation is limited to 30-minute sessions. If no one is waiting to use the computer, patron may sign up for another 30 minutes. Maximum use per patron is two hours per day.
5. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of library staff.
6. Use of library workstations will be a first come, first served basis.
7. Users will not attempt to modify, alter, or damage software or equipment.
8. Users may use their own software programs or personal diskettes on any library workstations.
9. Files may not be saved on hard drives. If patrons wish to save files, diskettes will be available at the Circulation Desk for a nominal fee.
10. Files may be printed out for a nominal fee per page. See Fee Schedule for specific amounts.
11. Users must be able to demonstrate adequate computer ability. Library staff may provide general assistance to patrons in using electronic information as time and staff knowledge permits. However, staff cannot provide in-depth training for workstation use.
