Who We Are
The Flora Public Library system is located at 216 North Main Street, Flora, IL 62939. LIBRARY MAP. The Flora Public Library provides free services to all residents living within the Flora city boundaries because they have paid for library service through property taxes. Services are available to anyone outside the city limits of Flora with payment of a non-resident fee.
The library collections house over 51,400 items. Materials owned include books, dvds, compact discs, cassette tapes and books-on -cassette or books-on-cd, magazines, newspapers and much more.
In total, from May 1, 2009 through April 30, 2010, 50,309 items were checked out of the library! During fiscal year 2009-2010, over 52,900 people visited the library to check out material, utilize print and electronic reference resources, access the Internet through the Library’s T-1 line connection, view a Library exhibit, or attend one of the Library’s many events.

Our Mission
- The Flora Public Library Board of Trustees and Staff strive to provide popular materials and services which help meet the recreational, educational and intellectual needs of the community.
- Emphasis is placed on providing current high demand material, as well as general information, in a variety of formats for people of all ages.
- The library also supplies supplementary materials to students at all levels in pursuing their formal education.
